For over 56 years Polaris Technologies and its parent company, Modern Builders Supply, Inc., have been providing high quality window and door products to the new construction and remodeling industry.
We [Polaris] were founded in 1944, operating out of a one room rented building as a wholesaler of specialty exterior building products. The company was built on the sales and service of high quality products sold directly to builders and remodelers. By the early 1960’s, we began manufacturing storm windows and storm doors in our first manufacturing plant in Youngstown, Ohio. In 1979, we became one of the pioneers of the vinyl replacement window industry. By then our products were being distributed in Ohio and the five surrounding states. In 1990 the company greatly expanded its window and door products and designs by the introduction of the Polaris window and door system. At this time the manufacturing division was renamed Polaris Technologies.
Today Polaris Technologies distributes its products regionally, with a more recent emphasis on expanding nationally. Our international sales team is currently distributing product in South America. Polaris Technologies is recognized throughout the industry as a dynamic leader in product innovation and design. We are often chosen by leading vendors in the industry to partner on the development and prototyping of new industry innovations. We currently operate within two plants, which total nearly 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
Our products are thoroughly tested in-house within our Research and Development facility and also through independent testing facilities. All of our products carry lifetime limited warranties.
Our goal is to be recognized as the best solution to any window or door product need. We accomplish this through quality-driven products with features and designs as demanded by our customers. The Polaris line of windows, doors and solariums was designed and built on a foundation of feedback from our customers. We wish to expand nationally but will do this only through the service and satisfaction of our current and future customers.
